at Concert Hall – ARCUB, LIPSCANI Str, no 84-90, Bucharest<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The International Piano Competition \u201cPro Piano – Romania\u201d, was initited and organized by the Cultural Foundation \u201ePRO PIANO-ROMANIA\u201d in 1997. Since then, this competition has been a great success. Now, we already reached the 29th<\/sup> edition. Thank you very much for your support!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The annual \u201ePRO PIANO-ROMANIA\u201d\u201d International Piano Contest is open to young pianists of all nationalities, with ages between 6 and 30 ( born after January 1st <\/sup>1995), who are able to achieve remarkable performances and are eager to estimate their technical and artistic abilities in an international context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n A<\/strong> – Junior(with 4 categories), B<\/strong> – Secondary(with 8 categories), C<\/strong> <\/strong>Professional <\/strong>and D<\/strong> (four hands on a piano). There are additional subdivisions into categories, depending on the year of birth of the competitors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n SECTION A – Junior (one stage) :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Category A1 – born in 2018 (and after)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Category A2 \u2013 2017<\/p>\n\n\n\n Category A3 \u2013 2016<\/p>\n\n\n\n Category A4 \u2013 2015<\/p>\n\n\n\n Piano repertoire (three pieces)<\/u><\/strong>:<\/strong><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n SECTION B<\/strong> \u2013 8 categories <\/em>(two stages)<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong>. The specified minutes is the maximum allowed for stage two (for stage one, there is no mandatory limited timing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n First Category born in 2014 \u2013 10 minutes maximum for stage two;<\/p>\n\n\n\n Second Category\u2013 born in 2013;<\/p>\n\n\n\n Third Category \u2013 born in 2012;<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fourth Category\u2013 born in 2011;<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fifth Category\u2013 born in 2010 \u2013 15 minutes maximum for stage two;<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sixth Category\u2013 born in 2009;<\/p>\n\n\n\n Seventh Category\u2013 born in 2008 \u201320 minutes maximum for stage two;<\/p>\n\n\n\n Eighth Category\u2013 born in 2007-2006<\/p>\n\n\n\n Section B<\/u><\/strong> <\/u><\/strong> Piano Repertoire (two stages):<\/u><\/strong><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n First stage (eliminatory examination):<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Second stage:<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Section C<\/strong> \u2013 <\/strong>(two stages)<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong> born after 1995<\/p>\n\n\n\n Piano Repertoire:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n First stage (eliminatory examination):<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Second stage (final round of the competition) \u2013 thirty minutes maximum<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You can compete and in two categories<\/strong>: the age of the competitor and a higher category, but with different repertoires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n SECTION D<\/strong> \u2013 Four-handed ensemble on a piano \u2013 <\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong>one stage<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n First Category<\/strong> \u2013 born between 2018 (and after) \u2013 2015<\/p>\n\n\n\n Second Category <\/strong>\u2013 born between 2014\u2013 2006 <\/p>\n\n\n\n Third Category <\/strong>\u2013 born between 2005\u2013 1995 (as an age, one of the partners may exceed the limit by one or two years, on the condition the other is up to 30 years).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Piano Repertoire<\/strong> for section D: pieces of your own choise, with the following maximum length: first category \u2013 10 minutes \/ second category \u2013 15 minutes \/ third category \u2013 25 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n The order of entry<\/strong> in the competition is alphabetical for each age category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The candidates can choose the order of interpretation of the pieces. All the pieces must be memorized (played without using sheet music). In case of exceeding the maximum duration set for second stage, the jury reserves the right to interrupt the candidate’s performance.
