REGULATIONS<\/strong><\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The 30th edition of the International \u201cPRO PIANO\u2013ROMANIA\u201d Competition<\/strong> celebrates 30 years since its founding<\/strong> and will take place online<\/strong>, with broad international participation among both jury members and competitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition is open to\u00a0young pianists of any nationality born after January 1, <\/strong><\/strong>1996<\/strong>, studying in\u00a0public or private music education institutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition is organized into four sections<\/strong>, depending on the participants\u2019 year of birth. Each section is further divided into age categories<\/strong>, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1<\/strong>. Section A (4 categories)
2. Section B (8 categories)
3. Section C (1 category)
4.<\/strong> Section D \u2013 Piano four-hands (3 categories)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

I. SECTIONS AND CATEGORIES<\/strong> <\/strong>(according to year of birth)<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

SECTION A \u2013 4 categories<\/strong> \/ <\/strong>Participants born between <\/strong>2019 and 2016<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Repertoire:<\/strong> three pieces<\/strong> (alternatively: one \u00e9tude and two pieces<\/strong>, or three different pieces<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category A1<\/strong> \u2013 born in 2019 or later<\/strong> \u2013 maximum duration: 10 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category A2<\/strong> \u2013 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category A3<\/strong> \u2013 2017<\/strong> \u2013 maximum duration: 12 minute<\/strong>s<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category A4<\/strong> \u2013 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SECTION B \u2013 8 categories<\/strong> \/ <\/strong>Participants born between <\/strong>2015 and 2007<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Repertoire:<\/strong> one \u00e9tude and two pieces<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category B1<\/strong> \u2013 2015<\/strong> \u2013 maximum duration: 15\u201320 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category B2<\/strong> \u2013 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category B3<\/strong> \u2013 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category B4<\/strong> \u2013 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category B5<\/strong> \u2013 2011<\/strong> \u2013 maximum duration: 25 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category B6<\/strong> \u2013 2010<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category B7<\/strong> \u2013 2009<\/strong> \u2013 maximum duration: 30 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category B8<\/strong> \u2013 2008\u20132007<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SECTION C<\/strong> \/ <\/strong>Participants born between <\/strong>1996 and 2006<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Maximum duration:<\/strong> 35\u201345 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The repertoire should include works that fall within the time limits above (\u00e9tudes are also permitted).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SECTION D \u2013 Piano Four (six ) Hands<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One or two pieces<\/strong>
Duration:<\/strong> 5\u201315 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

II. REPERTOIRE<\/strong><\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Sections A and B:<\/strong> competitors must perform three pieces in contrasting styles<\/strong>, within the announced time limits., compulsory by heart! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Section C:<\/strong> the repertoire must last between 35 and 40 minutes (maximum)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Section D (four hands):<\/strong> one or two pieces<\/strong> are required. Performing with the score is permitted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

III. REGISTRATION<\/strong><\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

To register, the following two documents must be sent together in the same email<\/strong> (not in separate emails) by May 28th<\/sup><\/strong><\/sup>, 2026, at 24:00<\/strong>, <\/strong>to address: propiano@gmail.com<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Registration Form (Excel)<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The form can be found in the FORMS section<\/strong> on the website (after the Regulations).
Please select the form corresponding to the competitor\u2019s age and section (A, B, C<\/strong> or D<\/strong>)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The form must be completed directly with all requested information<\/strong>.
Scanned or photographed forms will not be accepted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Section D (four hands)<\/strong>, the names and details of both partners must be included on the same form<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Links to the competition video recordings<\/strong> must be inserted in the last fields of the form<\/strong>, together with the composer\u2019s name and the title of each piece<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The links may also be attached separately, but must be included in the same email<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video Recording Requirements<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The recording must be made horizontally using a phone or camera<\/strong> placed on a stable stand or tripod<\/strong>. Camera should be positioned to the performer\u2019s right side<\/strong>, showing the performer\u2019s full body and the piano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After recording, upload the video to a personal YouTube account<\/strong>, using the PUBLIC setting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insert the YouTube link in the form<\/strong>, together with the composer\u2019s name and the title of the piece<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Videos may be submitted as: one recording containing all pieces<\/strong>, or separate recordings for each piece<\/strong>, <\/strong>all links must be sent in the same email<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recordings from <\/strong>other public performances are also accepted, provided they are <\/strong>no more than one year old.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Proof of Participation (Donation<\/strong>):<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

for category A <\/strong>\u2013 80 EURO; category B<\/strong> \u2013 90 EURO;  category C<\/strong> \u2013 100 EURO;  category D<\/strong> \u2013 110 EURO both (55 \/person), payable only by Bank transfer, to the account opened at BCR sector 3, Bucharest, Romania,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IBAN Code<\/strong>: RO65RNCB0074029148620010<\/strong>, SWIFT CODE: RNCBROBU, for: Stela Avesalon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You  must specify, on the payment order: the Name of the competitor<\/strong> and Contest name  PRO PIANO. <\/strong>For section A and D – please send for both competitors, not separately. In case of withdrawal or non-participation, the donation will not be returned (for any reason ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only complete will be registered, with the documents (separate references are not allowed).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All participants will receive a receipt confirmation<\/strong>, no later than two days after sending! If you do not receive confirmation, please report it to us (it means the documents have not been received).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list of registered competitors<\/strong> will be published on the Foundation website on June 2<\/strong><\/strong>, 2026<\/strong>, under the Schedule<\/strong> section. Please make sure to check the list. If you do not find your name, kindly report this issue by email<\/strong> or phone message<\/strong> (please do not call).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IV. PRIZES<\/strong><\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Each category will award the following prizes: 1st Prize, 2nd Prize, 3rd Prize, 4th Prize, 5th Prize<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional distinctions include: Excellence First Prizes<\/strong>, <\/strong>Special Prizes<\/strong> for interpretation, musicality, technical achievement, sensitivity, virtuosity, or best interpretation of a particular piece<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grand Prize Trophy \u2013 \u201cPRO PIANO\u2013ROMANIA\u201d International Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special Award:<\/strong> \u201cGEORGETA SANDU\u201d Prize<\/strong>, offered by pianist Constantin Sandu (Porto, Portugal)<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Selected competitors may also be invited to perform in recitals organized by the Foundation during the 2026\u20132027 season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RESULTS and prizes<\/strong>  will be announced online on June 11, 2026<\/strong>, in the SCHEDULE section<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diplomas will be sent by email to the teacher (for all their students)<\/strong> within one week after the results are announced<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
