{"id":366,"date":"2011-12-21T08:31:01","date_gmt":"2011-12-21T08:31:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.propiano.org\/english\/?page_id=366"},"modified":"2012-05-11T04:38:32","modified_gmt":"2012-05-11T04:38:32","slug":"coposition-musicology-rules-2012","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/propiano.org\/english\/coposition-musicology-rules-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Composition and Musicology Rules 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">International Competition of \u00a0Composition and Musicology &#8220;PRO PIANO-ROMANIA&#8221;<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">2nd Edition, 2012<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Section II &#8211; Compositions for Piano<\/h2>\n<p>Competition is open to students and graduate students from high Schools, Colleges, Colleges, Universities, Academies and Faculties of Music.<\/p>\n<p>It is divided into two sub-sections based on age:<\/p>\n<p>A) up to 18 years<\/p>\n<p>B) between 19-30 years<\/p>\n<p>The competition&#8217;s goals:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To stimulate the creativity and encourage young musicians<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To find and promote the best compositions<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To enriching the repertoire of students in the first \/ second cycle school (elementary and middle school), low in parts segment learning, appropriate to their level of interpretation<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Topics (content structure of the competition) will vary from one edition to another.<\/p>\n<p>For the 2012 edition may be 2 versions of compositions for piano:<\/p>\n<p>1) Compositions of easy and medium difficulty for children 5-12 years at 2 and 4 hands (on the same piano), in various forms (lied theme with variations, thematic mini-suite, rondo, etc.) , lasting between 2-5 minutes<\/p>\n<p>2) Larger compositions, lasting between 5-15 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conditions of participation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A competitor is allowed a single work (for version 2), or one or more short pieces (first version), specifying the chosen option \u00a0(1 or 2).<\/p>\n<p>You can also compete in both categories.<\/p>\n<p>Registration Fee: for one variant &#8211; 50 EURO, and for both versions &#8211;\u00a075 EURO<\/p>\n<p>The work submitted must be original and unpublished until this contest.<\/p>\n<p>Scores accepted: in manuscript (black characters) photocopied or typed, containing songs presented in the contest registration. These copies will mention only a title and motto for identification (no name or signature).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration\u2019s deadline is May 25, 2012<\/strong> (postmarked). Each reference must contain:<\/p>\n<p>1. The composition in three (3) copies, which appear only title and <strong>motto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2. A sealed envelope will be noted that the motto appearing on the score.<\/p>\n<p>Inside the envelope will be:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The application form (which will include the full name of composer, place and date of birth, school belonging, full address, telephone number, e-mail)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A copy of a document showing date of birth<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A brief curriculum vitae<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Copy of the receipt of payment of registration fee.<\/p>\n<p>Participation in the competition implies full acceptance by the competitors of this regulation and jury decisions. For more information, competitors will address artistic secretariat of the Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The jury<\/strong> will be composed of prestigious personalities of musical life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Awards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following deliberation, the jury will award the following prizes: First Prize, IInd, IIIrd for each of the two variants. The jury reserves the right to decide not granted any of the above distinctions. Decisions are final and cannot be disputed. Awarded authors will be invited to participate in the Contest Gala Concert, on which will be announced after the end of entries (around the time of 23 to 24 June 2012).<\/p>\n<p>The scores that will receive awards will remain the Cultural Foundation &#8220;PRO PIANO-ROMANIA&#8217;s&#8221; property.<\/p>\n<p>Scores that have not received awards may be returned only if requested by the author.<\/p>\n<p>The organizers will publish the awarded compositions in a special volume, together with other media promotions, TV and radio. Also, the compositions are likely to be interpreted in auditions and recitals organized by the Foundation throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Section Musicology<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">2nd Edition<\/h2>\n<p>Competition is open to students, and graduate students from Schools, Colleges, Colleges, Universities, Academies and Faculties of Music(in english).<\/p>\n<p>The competition consists of a single written examination and commenting a means of twentieth-century musical works (work that will be made when the contest). Date contest musicology, time and venue will be announced in late May.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entries will be made until May 25<\/strong>, 2012 by e-mail or directly to the organizer (with phone information).<\/p>\n<p>To subscribe you need the following:<\/p>\n<p>1.
