Piano Performance(the 15st edition)\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0II.\u00a0Piano Composition(first edition).<\/p>\n<div>Rules<\/div>\n<div>International Contest Piano COMPOSITIONS\u00a0\u201cPRO PIANO-ROMANIA\u201d-\u00a0the\u00a0<em>II\u00a0<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0SECTION \u201cPRO PIANO-ROMANIA\u2019s\u201d International Contest 2011<\/em><\/div>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>Ist edition \/ 21-26 June 2011<\/p>\n<p>This IInd\u00a0competition section is for all students (schools, high schools, colleges, universities, academies and music faculties. It has 2 subdivisions (based on age):<\/p>\n<address>a)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 up to 19 years old<\/address>\n<address>b)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0from 19 to 30 years old<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<address>The theme of the competition will vary from one year to another. For 2011, each subdivision may present 2 types of piano compositions, either for 2 or 4 hands (played on the same piano), as follows:<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<address>a)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 light to medium difficulty compositions, for children between 5 and 12 years old, 2 or for hands (played on the same piano) and various genders, such as: lied, theme and variations, mini-suite with a theme, rondo. Each composition must be between 2-5 minutes long<\/address>\n<address>b)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 a more extensive piano composition, between 5- 15 minutes long<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<address>The Mission:<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<address>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To promote and stimulate youth creativity<\/address>\n<address>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To discover, award and promote the best musical compositions<\/address>\n<address>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To enrich the national\/ international piano repertoire, especially for the first category<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0\u00a0<\/address>\n<address>Conditions for participation: each competitor may present one or more short compositions within the requested length. At the submission time, please make sure to specify the category. The music scores can be either handwritten (black on white), photocopied or typed, with title and motto only (no names or signatures).<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<address><strong>Registration deadline<\/strong>: \u00a0May 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2011 (postal date)<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<address>Registration requirements per participant:<\/address>\n<address>\u00a01.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The original, unpublished composition \u2013 3 copies, with the title and motto\u00a0<\/address>\n<address>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 One sealed envelope with the motto matching the one on the composition submitted for the contest. Included in the envelope should be:<\/address>\n<address>&#8211;\u00a0 The registration form with the first and last name of the competitor, the place and date of\u00a0 birth, the school he or she is enrolled in, complete home address, phone number and email address.<\/address>\n<address>&#8211; \u00a0Registered\/ legal photocopy of a document showing the date of birth<\/address>\n<address>&#8211;\u00a0 Brief curriculum vitae<\/address>\n<address>&#8211;\u00a0 Short presentation of the composition submitted for the contest<\/address>\n<address>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Copy of the registration fee receipt<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0By participating to this contest, all competitors agree with our rules and regulations, including the jury decisions. If you would like further information, please contact us via email.<\/address>\n<p>\u00a0The jury: is composed of famous personalities of Romanian musical life.<\/p>\n<p>Awards: at the end of the contest, the jury will award prizes (I, II, III), and Special Prizes, for each category, (total of 4 sets).<\/p>\n<p>The Jury has the right to decide not to give one, or more of the above mentioned distinctions. The jury decisions are final, and indisputable. The composers awarded will be invited to participate at the Gala Concert. The date of the Gala Concert will be announced once the registration ends.<\/p>\n<p>Scores awarded become property of Cultural Foundation \u201cPro Piano-Romania\u201d. All scores that do not receive awards may be returned, at request.<\/p>\n<p>Coverage of work awarded will be done in several ways: by publication in a special volume, mentioning prizewinners in special programs on Radio &amp; Television.
