“PRO PIANO-ROMANIA” International Piano Competition<\/span><\/h2>\n

The 2013 “PRO PIANO-ROMANIA” \u00a0International Piano Competition<\/strong> \u00a0is open to young pianists of any nationality, born after January 1st,\u00a0<\/span>1983. \u00a0The 17th<\/span>\u00a0edition<\/strong> will take place between 18 \u2013 23 of June 2013.<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> The competitors are divided into 4 age groups (sections); each section is \u00a0divided into categories, according to their year of birth:\u00a0Section A:\u00a0Junior 1 and Junior 2, \u00a0Section B, Section C and \u00a0Section D\u00a0(4 hands)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Repertoire for Junior 1 (maximum\u00a05\u2019): one study and 2 pieces different styles<\/p>\n

a) Two virtuosity studies (Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Skriabin, Prokofiev)<\/p>\n

b) J. S. Bach – Prelude and Fugue or 3 movements (parts) of the Suite or Partites<\/p>\n

2nd<\/span>\u00a0Stage\u00a0<\/strong>(semi-finale, eliminatory) – maximum\u00a030 ‘<\/strong><\/p>\n

a) a classical sonata (Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven)<\/p>\n

b) a modern piece (Universal or Romanian)<\/p>\n

3rd<\/span>\u00a0Stage\u00a0<\/strong>(final) – maximum 30 ‘<\/strong><\/p>\n

Recital with pieces different from those performed during the first two stages eliminatory stages, with a compulsory romantic piece included.<\/p>\n

Cat. 1 – born between 2004 to 2000<\/p>\n

NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong> You can participate in two different categories: the age of competitor and a superior category, with different repertoires. Repertoire statement in your application form cannot be changed afterwards.<\/p>\n

The order of interpretation of the pieces is to free choice of candidates. In case of exceeding the maximum set for stage 2 (or 3) the Jury will stop the evolution of the candidates. The\u00a0competitors\u00a0will perform in an alphabetical order within their age group. The competition is public.<\/p>\n

* Award for an outstanding interpretation of a Romanian piece \u00a0or of another repertoire piece<\/p>\n

* Prizes from sponsors<\/p>\n

Awards will be announced after the final Stage(Round) of each section of the \u201cPRO PIANO-ROMANIA\u201d International Competition.<\/p>\n

All the participants with no awards, will be given a Diploma of Participation, at their request.<\/p>\n

All prizes will be delivered in person at the award ceremony winners: Gala.<\/p>\n

5. The Jury<\/strong> will include personalities of Romanian and international music world.<\/p>\n

The Contest participants will fully respect obey the competition rules and the decisions of the Jury.<\/p>\n

The performance of some competitors may be recorded and used after competition, without any pretence of \u00a0fee on part of the participants.<\/p>\n
