The 2014 \u201cPRO PIANO-ROMANIA\u201d International Piano Competition<\/strong> is open to young pianists of any nationality, born after January 1st,\u00a01984. \u00a0The 18th\u00a0edition<\/strong> will take place between 16 and 22 of June 2014 in Bucharest.<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> The competitors are divided into 4 age groups (sections); each section is divided into categories, according to their year of birth:\u00a0Section A (junior 1 and junior 2), Section B, Section C and Section D\u00a0(4 hands)<\/strong><\/p>\n

SECTION A: Junior 1 and Junior 2 <\/span><\/strong>\u00a0(one stage): <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

JUNIOR 1<\/strong> –\u00a0includes children born in 2007<\/strong> (1st\u00a0category) and 2006<\/strong> (2nd\u00a0category)<\/p>\n

Repertoire for Junior 1 (maximum\u00a05\u2019): one study and 2 pieces different styles<\/p>\n

JUNIOR 2<\/strong> \u2013 includes children born in 2005<\/strong> (1st\u00a0category) and 2004<\/strong> (2nd\u00a0category)<\/p>\n

Repertoire for Junior 2\u00a0(maximum\u00a08\u2019): one study, one\u00a0pre-classical\u00a0(baroque) piece and one piece (classic, or romantic, or modern)<\/p>\n

2nd\u00a0Stage\u00a0<\/strong>(semi-finale, eliminatory) \u2013 maximum\u00a030 \u2018<\/p>\n

a) a classical sonata (Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven)<\/p>\n

NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong> You can participate in two different categories: the age of competitor and a superior category, with different repertoires. Repertoire statement in your application form cannot be changed afterwards.<\/p>\n

The order of interpretation of the pieces is to free choice of candidates. In case of exceeding the maximum set for stage 2 (or 3) the Jury will stop the evolution of the candidates. The\u00a0competitors\u00a0will perform in an alphabetical order within their age group. The competition is public.<\/p>\n

* The \u201cPro Piano \u2013 Romania\u201d International Competition Grand Prix<\/strong><\/p>\n

* 5 (five) prizes for each category, including the Prize of Excellence<\/p>\n

* Special Awards<\/p>\n

* Award for an outstanding interpretation of a Romanian piece or of another repertoire piece<\/p>\n

* Prizes from sponsors<\/p>\n

Awards will be announced after the final Stage (Round) of each section of the \u201cPRO PIANO-ROMANIA\u201d International Competition.<\/p>\n

All the participants with no awards, will be given a Diploma of Participation, at their request.<\/p>\n

All prizes will be delivered in person at the award ceremony winners: Gala.<\/p>\n

5. The Jury<\/strong> will include personalities of Romanian and international music world.<\/p>\n

The Contest participants will fully respect obey the competition rules and the decisions of the Jury.<\/p>\n
